Landscape EstimatorLandscape Supervisor

Full-time, Compensation: $35K+ bonuses

Job Description

3+ years of experience in business development, estimating and construction: acquiring new commercial landscape maintenance customers, managing client relationships, selling additional services, manage estimates and Request for Proposals’ of numerous diverse residential and commercial projects.

The candidate should have commercial landscape maintenance and property management experience with existing property manager and HOA relationships. This position is well suited for the self-driven outside sales professional, who enjoys working autonomously in the field, takes ownership of their position and success. This position provides an opportunity to work with a smaller well-established commercial landscape company whose longstanding reputation was built on quality of work and dependable performance.

Proficiencies: 

  • Proficient with computer software MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Landscape design experience 
  • B2B selling experience
  • Competitive, positive, results driven salesperson with proven negotiation skills
  • Cold calling experience for future bid opportunities
  • Ability to develop strong client and employee relations
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail

Duties:

  • Communicate with Office Manager and Owner 
  • Maintain pre-existing and establish new Property Management and HOA relationships
  • Manage and update all Sales reports, Sales Summary and Contract Status Logs
  • Create job cost estimates with project cost/profit margins for work
  • Reviews estimates and revision for completeness and accuracy
  • Project, calculate and submit appropriate change orders on plan changes
  • Manage bid and proposals
  • Manage client logs
  • Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors etc.
  • Support the overall goals and objectives of the company
  • Must uphold company policies, procedures and company core values
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Driver’s License required with a reputable driving record
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Contracting or related field

Major Skills Required:

  • Extensive knowledge in landscape sales, general construction, and bidding.

Experience:

  • Landscape Estimator: 3+ years (Required)
  • Landscaping/Construction: 3+ years (Required)

Full-time, Compensation: $17+/hr.           

Job Description:

The Landscape  Supervisor is responsible for directing all on-site aspects of landscape installation projects including labor, materials, equipment, and schedule to consistently perform within budget.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in and manage the execution of landscape projects, planning labor and equipment requirements and timing to ensure completion of jobs within project deadlines.
  • Communicate with Landscape Architect, Office Manager and Owner
  • Directs activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to: coordinating workflow, hands-on work, and operating a variety of machinery.
  • Manages personnel effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicates production goals with crew members and clients.
  • Communicates well with all crew members, supervisors, and clientele.
  • Operate various tools and equipment, including heavy equipment, jackhammers, shovels, drills, saws, etc.
  • Monitors all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance.
  • Tracks and records all job expenses, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked.
  • Always maintains a clean and safe job site.
  • Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment
  • Ensures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards.
  • Ensures that all equipment safely and maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction.
  • Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work.
  • Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day.
  • Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to.
  • Trains crew members in the best practices of installation as required by company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Driver’s License required with a reputable driving record
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Contracting or related field
  • Knowledge of landscape practices
  • Capable of operating Skid steer, track loader, excavator, dump trucks, drive with large trailers

Major Skills Required:

Extensive knowledge in pavers, concrete work, stonework, grading, drainage, planting, irrigation, etc.

Experience:

  • Landscape Foreman: 3+ years (Required)
  • Landscaping: 3+ years (Required)
